Cruise Ships return to Port Lincoln, South Australia
Cruise Ships return to South Australia
Did you know that we are the largest combined aquaculture and agriculture centre in the Southern Hemisphere? If you didn’t - you do now, and the new season of cruise ship guests who land from September 18th will get a ‘best of’ tour for the Port Lincoln and Coffin Bay regions. It’s been over 2 years (thanks COVID) since we last had cruise ships pulling up at our famous big green grain wharf and landing on our home soil for the day. This season (Sept 2022 to March 2023) cruise liners Coral Princess, Pacific Explorer, Noordam, Grand Princess, Seabourn Odyssey and Majestic Princess will come with anywhere from 1900 to 3560 passengers - all disembarking and streaming along our beloved Parnkarlla Trail and through shops and cafes, enjoying our coastline and soaking in the Lower Eyre Peninsula charm.
From Cruise Ship to Seafood Mecca
One of the highlights of coming to the Eyre Peninsula is hands down the freshest seafood you'll ever see (literally, you can see the aquaculture farms from shore!), taste, or buy - anywhere in the world.
On all of our tours, we’ll tell you the history and stories of our fishing and farming industries, and you’ll be impressed by our guides’ intimate knowledge of industries they have spent years immersed in. Enjoy the freshest Coffin Bay Oysters you’ll ever find anywhere (literally, farmed fresh that day from the ocean on our doorstep). It goes without saying that the seafood down here is not to be missed - so don’t worry, you won’t miss it!
Cruise Ship Sailing to Electric Mountain Bike Riding
There's so much to see (with all 5 senses!) from 2 wheels and a bike saddle - our electric mountain bikes can take you from beach bar to French croissant, to pristine blue ocean and native bush national park - all day! Ideal for off-road trails but equally comfortable for around city paths - Port Lincoln and the surrounds are a bike lovers’ paradise. You can even get a guided bike tour with one of our local guides - to get a real taste for the surrounding nature and wildlife with of course - history woven in between.
It’s so amazing to be able to share this amazing coastline, abundant industry of seafood and agriculture, the local culture and way of life from a local guides perspective, all for guests arriving to see the best of the best, all in just 8 hours (or less, on an E-Bike!).
