Flying Tour to the 2013 Birdsville Races

The outback event of the year, the iconic Birdsville Races 2013, is on again for the 130th year. Departing Adelaide on the 6th of September, Goin’ Off Safaris has two seats available for a three day Outback Flying Safari, which includes a full day at the Birdsville Races in the comfort of the popular trackside marquee which includes gourmet dining, drinks, entertainment and full betting facilities amongst the 6000 travellers who make the pilgrimage to Birdsville each year, to tick off another bucket list item!

This tour is all inclusive, which resembles something of an Outback Pub Crawl as we fly into Maree for a luncheon, Innamincka for an overnight stay and Australia’s most isolated pub – William Creek for another night’s stay to complete the outback loop. Also included is a boat cruise along the magnificent Cooper Creek at Innamincka, the much publicised Dig Tree of Burke and Will fame, a ground tour of Birdsville, low level flying through beautiful Coongie Lakes, Spencers Gulf, Wilpena Pound and the Flinders Ranges,  all meals, transfers etc before flying back into Adelaide on Sunday afternoon, the 8th of September. An extra bonus will be flying over stunning Lake Eyre on dusk to view the amazing colours and the unlimited vision of the Outback country.
