Fishing update at Coffins Bay

Winter is fast approaching but we are still experiencing some beautiful autumn weather & the fish around Coffin Bay are still well on the bite.

There are still lots of tuna been caught off hotspots from Sir Isaacs to Greenly Island with our main man, GT Fishing Charters, catching & releasing over 30 superb Southern Bluefin on a flat day last week. Good work Gaz! Closer to land, we have been bagging out on huge Nannagai, some very big Snapper, Morwong & have also had a few lines snap which means something very big & these things coincidentally have big, sharp teeth & rhyme with arks!

So it is still all happening & there are plenty of KG Whiting around & these, as always will be plentiful over the cooler months.Check out this video from a recent trip to Rocky Island with Goin Off Safaris & GTFC /www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGUWZs2M36M

Lastly, if anyone is interested in a different style of fishing, check out RiverFly Tasmania (see riverfly.com.au) All round good bloke Daniel Hackett runs   guided fly fishing for wild Tasmanian trout in some of Tasmania’s most spectacular country. According to US fly fishing guru Phil Monahan, just voted Tasmania as ‘the coolest fly fishing destination that most anglers don’t know about’. Tight lines everyone!
